Handmade soap chamomile. Soap with chamomile extract: beneficial properties, application

Please note that the soap is made in two stages and the total amount of ingredients is indicated on the right. The exact amount of oils and alkali for each stage can be found in the text

So, the recipe for the bulk:
Chamomile oil extract - 50 gr. - 7%
Palm oil - 200 gr. - 29%
Palm kernel oil - 200 gr. - 29%
Castor oil - 130 gr. - 19%
Grape seed oil - 100 gr. - 15%
Alkali NaOH - 93 gr.
Water - 204 gr.

First prepare the decoction. To do this, take 3-4 tablespoons of chamomile for 500 ml of boiling water and brew in a thermos for 1 hour.

Strain the broth through a strainer and cool.

The next step is to prepare the main ingredients: weigh out the oils, sodium hydroxide and chamomile tea.

To prepare an alkaline solution, add lye to the liquid in portions, stirring occasionally.

The liquid heats up. During this process, you must be wearing gloves, a mask and goggles. Keep children and animals away from the workplace. The room must be ventilated.

While the lye is cooling, prepare three shades of green pigment by dissolving the powder in a teaspoon of castor oil. Skip this step if you use ready-made pigment pastes.

Alkaline solution and oils of the same temperature (a difference of 10 degrees is acceptable) - mix and bring to a trace using a blender. At this stage, you can add fragrance or essential oil.

Before pouring all the soap mass into the mold, pour approximately 70 grams into a separate container. This small amount of soap mass will be the background for our chamomile meadow. Therefore, using titanium dioxide, we will slightly whiten our background.

Pour the main soap mass into the mold and place the white soap mass on top.

Leave some of the white soap mass to pour into the glasses with the green pigment. You will need about a couple of tablespoons per glass.

To draw future leaves, you can use a Pasteur pipette or carefully drip directly from the cups.

Using a wooden stick, without stopping, draw along the centers of the round droplets, thus creating “leaves”.

I will draw daisies from a different “batch”, because, in my opinion, it is more convenient to smear the petals on a hard surface. But, if possible, you can try to draw a daisy right now.

I put the mold with soap in an oven preheated to 50 degrees and turned off to go through the gel stage.

The next day, remove the soap from the mold and prepare a small batch of soap mass.

For approximately 300 grams of soap mass you will need:
Palm oil - 100 gr. - 50%
Olive oil - 25 gr. - 13%
Coconut oil - 25 gr. - 13%
Castor oil - 50 gr. - 25%
Alkali NaOH - 26.6 g.
Water - 60 gr.

To prepare the soap mass, you need to measure out all the ingredients, prepare an alkaline solution and mix it with oils. Next, using a blender, bring the mass to a light trace, the consistency of liquid sour cream.

To draw daisies, I use a gravy bottle.

For a flower you need two pigments - white and yellow. Divide the mixture into two parts, paint it in the desired colors, pour it into two bottles and you can begin the final part of the work. First, drip some petal droplets and, using a brush, smear them, giving them a more oval shape. Fill the entire surface of the batch with white droplets. Then drop the middle of a chamomile from a bottle of yellow soap mixture.

“Summer Meadow” is ready! After about 12 hours, the soap can be cut and stored in a dark, dry place so that all reactions are completed and the soap matures.

There are enough legends to be made about the benefits of chamomile. Since ancient times, this modest flower has been used both as a remedy for the treatment of various diseases and as a cosmetic preparation. Nowadays, chamomile extract and various products containing it have become popular. For example, the beneficial properties and application features are interesting soap with chamomile extract.

The beneficial substances contained in chamomile flowers make this plant truly miraculous. In particular chamomile is rich in flavonoids, due to which it has powerful antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects. Chamomile also contains valuable essential oil, fatty acid glycerides, coumarins, phytosterol, and polysaccharides.

Natural chamomile extract retains the maximum benefits of fresh flowers, and therefore soap with this extract, used in skin care for both adults and children, has all the beneficial properties of chamomile. For example, it perfectly eliminates inflammation and soothes irritated skin, giving a feeling of smoothness and tenderness.

Soap with chamomile extract effectively cleanses and softens the skin, deeply moisturizes it, and also creates a special antibacterial barrier on it. This soap also tightens pores and has a mattifying effect, making it especially suitable for oily and combination skin types. Enriched with chamomile extract, the soap, among other things, also has a hypoallergenic effect, which makes it popular in the care of sensitive skin and delicate children's skin.

Unfortunately, despite all the significant benefits of soap with chamomile extract, a positive result in skin care will not be achieved if, along with such a valuable extract, the soap also contains synthetic dyes, preservatives, fragrances: such “chemistry” will simply negate the healing properties of chamomile. So if you are going to choose such soap, then it is better to look among natural and organic cosmetic products.

Today, many famous domestic and foreign brands of natural and organic cosmetics have in their assortment soap with chamomile extract. These are, for example, TM “Green Pharmacy”, and TM “Home Doctor”, and TM “YAKA”, and TM “BIO Nanny”. The products of all these brands are of high quality, effective and, best of all, affordable.

It is noteworthy that the beneficial effect of chamomile extract in soap of the listed brands is often complement other plant extracts. Thus, in the children's cream soap from TM “Home Doctor”, along with chamomile extract, it contains calendula and string extracts, which allows comprehensive care for the sensitive skin of babies. But the soap with chamomile extract from the Green Pharmacy TM, in turn, additionally contains sage extract, which has disinfectant properties, fights the first signs of skin aging and normalizes the water-lipid balance of the skin.

Soap with chamomile extract in our store

Soap making- very interesting leisure time. It is especially valuable because you can do it together with children, creating your own exclusive things. Today I will show you how to make decorative soap “Chamomile”. Everything you need for the job can be bought at a specialized store for soap makers.

Ready-made soap base (hereinafter MO): transparent 45g and white 40g. If you don’t have white, you can easily prepare it yourself by adding titanium dioxide to the transparent base (this cosmetic pigment gives white color to toothpastes and creams). First you need to grind it thoroughly so that there are no lumps;
mineral green pigment and neon yellow. In two-color soap, it is better to use pigments rather than dyes, because... they do not “crawl” one onto another, which happens with dyes. And neon yellow is brighter than mineral yellow, so I chose it;
fragrance “cut grass”;
“Chamomile” soap mold;
thick-walled glass (or thick polyethylene) cup. It is needed to melt MO in the microwave;
dried chamomile flowers – 1 tsp. (sold at the pharmacy). They need to be poured with boiling water and let them steam for a while. Chamomile in soap will work as a natural antiseptic and scrub;
wooden ladybug for decorating finished soap;
knife, drill, wooden stick for stirring the melt MO (from the sushi set).

Place finely chopped white MO in a glass and put it in the microwave for a few seconds. Stir the melt with a wooden stick until the MO is completely dissolved. Add 2-3 drops of fragrance into the melt. Fill the mold to half capacity. Let cool for 8-10 minutes.

Using a knife, apply notches in the form of a grid onto the cooled white part of the chamomile. This is done so that the next green layer adheres more tightly to the white one and the soap does not separate later.

Finely chop the transparent MO and also melt it in the microwave, stirring well. Add 3-4 drops of green pigment to the melt. Drain the water from the chamomile flowers, squeeze them out and also add them to the melt. We also add 2 drops of fragrance there. You need to add everything quickly, because the MO freezes. If this does happen, then melt it again in the microwave. Photo No. 5. Before pouring the second half, spray the white part with any alcohol (I used formic alcohol from the pharmacy). Pour the green part into the mold until it is full. Let it harden for 10 minutes.

After complete cooling, the soap can be removed from the mold. The result is such a cute soap. You can leave it like that, but we will make it even more attractive.

To do this, using a large-diameter drill, manually drill out the white center of the soap until it turns green (almost to the full depth).

We prepare the yellow fill for the middle, the same way as the previous ones: we melt the transparent MO, paint it yellow and carefully pour it into the drilled hole. Let it harden for 1-2 minutes.

The soap is almost ready. All that remains is to decorate it with a wooden ladybug (it is glued with a drop of melted transparent base) and press a few edible poppy seeds into the yellow center. All is ready.

There is no shame in giving this soap for any occasion, adding it to a beautiful napkin or towel. Good luck.

Fascinated by the idea of ecological and natural cosmetics and household chemicals, I, of course, could not pass up making soap with my own hands.

, I didn’t use baby products for work, but immediately took a soap base.

I really want to make soap from scratch - but before that I still need to learn. In the meantime, I’ll tell you specific recipes for how I made my own soap. For this

I use soap base Crystal Nftural (England) soap base, which does not contain sodium lauryl and laureate sulfate, which can cause irritation on sensitive skin, oak bark infusion, jojoba oil, wheat germ and grape seed oil and essential oils of mint, eucalyptus and lemon wormwood, and there must also be a container of alcohol with a spray bottle, scales, a measuring spoon or cup, two heat-resistant containers that can be used for heating the soap base in a steam bath and, of course, a soap mold - I have a silicone one.

So: brew oak bark, I made a strong infusion, took a little water so that the result is about 20 ml

While the bark is infusing, we are working on the base. I use Crystal Natural (England) - a soap base that does not contain sodium lauryl and sodium laurate sulfate, which can cause irritation on sensitive skin. The base is soft, very easy to cut and has high moisturizing properties due to its saturation with glycerin.

We need 100 grams of base

We weigh the cut piece, cut the base into pieces, place it in a steam bath and wait until it melts; the smaller the cut pieces, the faster this will happen.

Don’t forget to stir and make sure the liquid doesn’t boil under any circumstances.

So the base has melted, remove from the water bath and add oak bark infusion to it, mix gently. Add base oils - jojoba and grape seeds, and essential oils. The result is a liquid like this

which needs to be poured into the mold - first spray it with alcohol. If bubbles form on the surface after placing in the mold

You must use a spray bottle of alcohol

All is ready!!! Now wait until it hardens completely, remove from the mold and leave to dry for several hours. Since I did it in the evening, I simply put the soap on parchment and left it until the morning.

I got this soap

And now I’ll give you a specific example of a recipe. soap made from oak bark decoction

- 100 g soap base

- 20 ml of strong oak bark infusion(astringent and anti-inflammatory effect)

- jojoba oil(nourishes and moisturizes, penetrating deeply into pores, prevents the appearance of wrinkles, optimizes the absorption of vitamin D), grape seed oil(has a strong anti-inflammatory, regenerating effect, promotes rejuvenation and increased skin elasticity), wheat germ oil(stimulates metabolic processes, helps improve complexion, rejuvenates the skin, keeps the skin elastic and fresh. Has an anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, cleansing effect) (5-8 drops each) so that in total you get 1 tsp.

- 2 drops eucalyptus essential oil(antiseptic, regenerating and deodorizing agent + natural preservative) , lemon wormwood(antimicrobial, fungicidal, analgesic and blood circulation improving effect) and mint(antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, soothing effect)

After the first soap, inspired by success, I, of course, immediately began the next experiments. Using the same base, I prepared honey soap:

After hardening, this is what the soap turned out to look like:

Honey Soap Recipe

- 1 tsp. linden honey(moisturizes, softens and nourishes, has a bactericidal and regenerating effect, stimulates water-salt and fat metabolism in epidermal cells, which in turn increases skin tone and elasticity + natural preservative)

- 100 g soap base

- 0.5 tsp. fresh cream

- base oils: sweet almond(anti-inflammatory, regenerating and tonic effect. Oil relieves irritation, eliminates dryness and roughness of the skin, nourishes and cleanses the skin, improves its water balance), calendula(softening, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties, helps narrow enlarged pores), jojoba(nourishes and moisturizes, penetrating deeply into pores, prevents the appearance of wrinkles. Optimizes the absorption of vitamin D) 5-8 drops each to make a total of 1 tsp.

- 4 drops of rosemary essential oil(has bactericidal, antiviral, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic and anti-edema effects, increases blood flow + natural preservative) and geraniums(smoothes wrinkles, promotes elasticity, softens skin, moisturizes dry skin, increases microcirculation, tones and rejuvenates, has whitening properties)

And another soap: I used the base Crystal Goats Milk - white soap base with a high content of goat's milk. This soap base provides an excellent emollient and soothing effect, consists entirely of vegetable oils and does not contain animal fats, alcohol or other harmful impurities that dry out the skin.

  3. Add 50 grams of baby soap, grated on a fine grater, and 50 ml of chamomile decoction, which you prepared in advance. It is not necessary to strain the chamomile infusion.
  4. Stir until smooth. This will be the top - useful layer, which has an antiseptic effect, and also relieves redness and irritation of thin, sensitive skin.
  5. Then grate 50 grams of regular baby soap on a fine grater and melt in a steam bath, adding 5 tablespoons of low-fat cream. Also stir thoroughly so that there are no lumps. This will be the bottom layer. It has a softening and moisturizing effect on the skin of the face.
  6. It is better to choose a plastic mold; it is more convenient to remove the frozen mass from it. Before pouring the top layer, it is necessary to lubricate the mold with alcohol to degrease the surface. Pour the hot mixture into a 1.5 cm layer.
  7. Place it on the windowsill to cool or take it out onto the balcony. Then pour out the second layer and wait for it to cool again.

In a similar way, you can make soap with the addition of oatmeal and coconut flakes. To do this, before pouring the first layer of chamomile infusion, you need to pour a little regular oatmeal into the mold. And when making the second layer, add coconut flakes without dyes to the warm mass.

The shavings and flakes create a gentle cleansing effect on the face. This is an excellent homemade gentle scrub. The pores become clean, the skin acquires a matte tint, without an oily sheen. In addition, subcutaneous blood supply improves, which leads to an improvement in the natural processes of skin regeneration.

In winter, after the negative impact of atmospheric phenomena on the skin of the face, you can give it energy using soap with the addition of sea salt, baby soap, eucalyptus decoction and lemon balm essential oil.

  5. Stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the soap into the mold over the salt and leave to cool.
  7. The next layer consists of 2 tablespoons of regular massage oil, 2 drops of orange essential oil and 2 drops of lemon balm essential oil.
  8. We also rub 50 grams of baby soap or soap base there.
  9. To give it an aesthetic appearance, you can add a small amount of natural food coloring.
  10. Pour this layer into the mold.

This version of homemade soap perfectly tones the skin, increases its firmness and elasticity.

Recipe for soap with essential oil of spruce or cedar

Soap using spruce twigs and essential oil of spruce or cedar has a general rejuvenating effect on the skin. Spruce needles are known for their antimicrobial effects. This soap improves overall skin tone and protects against negative external influences.

  1. The first layer is prepared as follows: 50 grams of baby soap is diluted with 5 tablespoons of low-fat cream.
